Seaman Paper Facilities
Seaman Paper Company is a privately owned, vertically integrated paper manufacturer with investments in plants and facilities that provide manufacturing diversity and technical capabilities to support the company’s future growth on a domestic and global level.
Seaman Paper/Otter River Mill currently operates two paper machines producing up to 100 tons per day of MF and MG paper. The mill, located in Otter River, Massachusetts, operates 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
Seaman can utilize both virgin fiber and recycled materials in its furnish.
Seaman uses carbon neutral biomass to generate its steam, and cogenerates a portion of its electrical requirements.
The mill treats 900,000 gallons of water per day in its on-site treatment plant, and any residual materials are composted at Seaman’s 300 acre composting facility in Westminster, MA. Learn more about our sustainability efforts.
Garlock Printing and Converting Corp.
Garlock was established in Gardner in 1987 to print, sheet and fold tissue. Garlock has subsequently expanded to include printing and converting of films for flexible packaging. Garlock has 5 presses dedicated to paper and 4 presses dedicated to film. Garlock can use both water based and solvent inks and can print up to 10 colors. Garlock also adds value to its printed substrates with sheeters, rewinders, laminators, and bag machines. Garlock operates in 3 facilities in Gardner covering 248,000 square feet.
Garlock is also expanding its flexible packaging operations, where it recently purchased a 48,000 square foot facility to house a printing press and converting equipment. This facility is scheduled to start up in 2014.

360 Imaging, Inc.
360 Imaging, Inc. was established in 2000 to produce plates and sleeves, 360 Imaging uses the most advanced technologies, including laser engraved "photo-in-the-round." 360 Imaging provides in house artwork and plate making capabilities (supplying both Garlock and outside customers) enabling Garlock to offer custom printing with the speed and simplicity of a one stop shop. Seaman Paper/MBW Orange
Seaman Paper/MBW Orange was stablished in 1993, MBW Orange has grown to a 290,000 square foot converting and distribution facility located in Orange, Massachusetts. The two complex facility provides state-of-the-art converting, consisting of two sheeters and seven folders with a daily capacity of over 100,000 pounds of tissue.
On July 1, 1994, Seaman purchased the decorative crepe streamer division of Avery Dennison and former Dennecrepe Corporation. The company currently operates in a 63,000 square foot facility in Gardner, MA. It operates 5 crepe machines, 1 dip-dye machine, 5 slitting/packaging lines and 3 sheeters. Dennecrepe produces tissue products for the party goods, school and arts and crafts markets.
Seaman Paper/Specialized Paper Converting
Seaman Paper/Specialized Paper Converting was established in 1998, Specialized operates a drum sheeting line, 4 tissue winders, 3 interfolding machines, a backstand sheeter, a waxer and two shredding machines. It occupies a 75,000 sq. ft. facility in Gardner, Massachusetts. Originally targeted to add value to tissue produced at the mill, Specialized is the primary production plant for our food service converted products, which is also audited to adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for foodservice papers.
Seaman Paper Asia (SPA)
Seaman Paper Asia was established in 2003 to support our customers in Asia. Seaman Paper Asia currently has an office and warehouse located in Hong Kong. It’s wholly owned subsidiary, Seaman Packaging Materials (or Seaman Paper China) has an office and converting facilities in Dongguan China, with the capability of rewinding, sheeting, folding, packaging, coating and 4 color printing.
