Someone unboxing their Hope kit

A package can carry much more than the items inside it. It can carry comfort, encouragement, and a reminder that someone cares.

That idea is at the heart of the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s HOPE Kit® program. Created for women who have been recently diagnosed with breast cancer or are undergoing treatment, each HOPE Kit is filled with thoughtfully selected items that offer practical comfort and emotional support during a difficult time.

Each kit is filled with items recommended by patients and survivors: fuzzy socks for cold treatment rooms, an insulated tumbler, soothing tea, a HOPE journal, a personal encouragement card, and more.

Each item serves a purpose – but together, they deliver an even more important message: You are not alone.

Every HOPE Kit is a reminder tha no one should face breast cancer alone.

HOPE Kits are carefully packed by volunteers and sent to patients throughout the United States. For recipients, opening one can offer a welcome moment of care amid the uncertainty and challenges of treatment. From the useful products inside to the encouraging words included with them, every detail helps turn the box into a meaningful expression of support.

This year, Seaman Paper was grateful for the opportunity to donate pink and white tissue paper to help NBCF wrap and present the products inside its HOPE Kits. Tissue paper adds a thoughtful finishing touch, helping each box feel less like a shipment and more like a gift prepared especially for the person receiving it.

There is a quiet psychology to that moment of unwrapping. When someone lifts the lid and finds soft tissue paper instead of bare cardboard, it signals that care and intention went into what is inside. It is a small detail, but it reflects what we believe at Seaman Paper: how something is presented shapes how it is received, and thoughtful packaging can turn an ordinary box into a genuine expression of care.

We are honored to play a small part in this program, but the real story belongs to the patients and families navigating breast cancer, the volunteers who give their time, and the National Breast Cancer Foundation team working to ensure that no one faces breast cancer alone.

"These gifts are much appreciated, but the HOPE Kit is much more than just that. It is a reminder that this is a small time in our journey of life. Thank you so much for my HOPE Kit, but even more for the smile, the reminders, the support, and the hope that it gave me."

– Emily, HOPE Kit Recipient
